The 2nd Annual Wounded Warrior Veterans Benefit Dance will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009 at the Catholic War Veterans Dance Hall located on Farm Road 1015 in the city of Weslaco, Texas.

Performing on stage will be Ruben De La Cruz Y Su Conjunto, The Mexican Generation, and Los Tejano Boys.

The dance will be from 8:00 pm thru 1200 midnight.

The dance will be located at the Full Court Dance Hall in Elsa, Texas.

Share YOUR conjunto nightmare or horror Story!

Remember when the drummer forgot his entire supply of drumsticks? Or your drummer just did not show up and like a true, hard core conjunto warrior, you went on to play with a drummer anyway? Or the time the bajo player broke 3 strings before you were halfway through the polka and that was all he hed? Or, the accordionist forgot his accordion? Remember when your van broke on the way to gig in Laredo and there were no cell phones? Or when your lead singer forgot his song book and he can't sing without it? What was your most memorable moment or the moment you most want to forget, but no one will let you? How about your first gig or your next gig? Why not share your adventures with the Conjunto Warriors who have lived through it? Music is meant to be heard and stories are meant to be told. Here is your chance! Tell your story! We will share it in these pages with the world! Or, at least with those other hard core conjunto musicians who follow our pages. Que dice?

The City of Pharr Texas has again agreed to work with South Texas Conjunto Association and hold the 12th Annual Conjunto of the Year Awards Show next year 1010! Ajua!

This year's Conjunto of the Year Los Monarcas are performing in Corpus this Sunday, Sept. 13, 2009 for KROB radio.

Nuevo Tejano Conjunto Show on KMBH Radio is going full blast every Saturday, 10 am - 12 noon. Then at 12noon to 1 pm, we have the LA HORA DE LA LONCHERA.. con 100 percent featuring lots of Tony de la Rosa music and lots of conjunto tacos with Lupe Saenz.
